Spring Cleaning

We’ve got some great things lined up for the spring!

Our first workshop of the year kicks off on April 13th. We’re hosting a Youth Open Mic night. Anyone from grades 8-12 are welcome to come share their art! Here’s a look at the suggested prompt:

What does your community mean to you? What does it look like? Has it helped you grow or has it kept you down? Think about your family, friends, school, clubs, groups, and overall the people around you. Write a poem, monologue, song, rap, etc. Bring what you’ve got to our Youth Open Mic night!

If you have any questions, please email us at lxtp@lxtp.org.

We’re officially going into production for our newest video project Remedios Vol. II next month! We definitely want to highlight NWA staples as we find locations to shoot as we film. Click here to watch the first Remedios.

For this month’s playlist, we wanted to put a twist on standard spring cleaning practices. We curated this playlist as we thought about what we listen to when we clean not only our physical space, but our minds as well. There’s this stigma around cleaning that paints it in a “perfect” way. But if you just grab a duster and put on your favorite playlist, it can be almost therapeutic. It doesn’t really matter how long it takes to do what you need to do. Just get lost in the music.
