Summertime in the 479: A Goodbye Concert

We say goodbye to our name of 9 years…

We're glad you can join us in this celebration of LXTP’s last 9 years! On June 11th, 2025, The Medium transforms into a summertime experience featuring original music by LXTP from past shows and never-before-heard! Put your boss and those other haters on Do Not Disturb, cuz you're only here for Summertime in the 479!

The Artists

Yesenia De Loera (she/her) is a long-time LXTP ensemble member. She is a singer, songwriter, playwright, and actor with the company. She has performed in original plays that include Sherlock Holmes, Holy Waters, Arrivals & Salidas, Remedios I & II, Heroes and Monsters, Crossroads, and Blanket Statements. Other Theatre credits include theatre productions at Northwest Arkansas Community College. Outside of the company, Yesenia enjoys dancing at The Vibe and with NWA Dance Collective where she hopes to gain more skills in all genres of music. She is excited to continue storytelling, advocating, and connecting with the NWA community through LXTP.

Michael Del Rio (he/him) but the homies call him “Del” is the Latinx Theater Project’s company coordinator. He also serves as a songwriter, playwright, & actor for the LXTP ensemble. Mike has made appearances in LXTP originals Crossroads, Heroes & Monsters, & Remedios Vol.1. His most recent performance was in Arrivals & Salidas as “Franky”. Outside the project Mike is also a creative music artist. His music helps escape reality for listeners to create their own. Michael has a big heart for his hometown of Springdale and plans to use his voice to speak for others who can’t and will care for others who won’t.

Martin Garay (he/him) is a founding member, ensemble member, and Creative Development Manager for the LatinX Theatre Project; having participated in the productions of Follow Me @ Tio Sam, Scratch That, Blanket Statements, Crossroads, Heroes & Monsters, Remedios Vol.1 & Vol. 2, Arrivals & Salidas, Raices|Roots and other community events throughout the years. He has also worked with other local artists and music groups, including Velattimme and Zero Sense, as a rapper for both groups. Martin hopes to continue working with LXTP and with other community organizations throughout Springdale to further advocate for representation in the Arts and in the future of this city.

Taylor Hobby is a versatile artist and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, identifying as non-binary (They/Them). After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from the University of Arkansas (2021) Taylor joined The LatinX Theatre Project, where they performed as River in the original play, “Arrivals & Salidas” (2022). Following that, Taylor worked as a Preschool Teacher, and separately as an Office Production Assistant on the Meg Ryan film, “What Happens Later” (2022). Taylor created a youth program called, "Take Space-Make Space," designed to uplift incarcerated youth through hip hop, poetry, and storytelling (2023). Furthermore, Taylor performed at The Luther George Park Revival Weekend (2024) as part of Groundwaves Hip-Hop Showcase. West Coast rapper and mentor, MURS, gave Taylor the opportunity to debut as “Foxy Phoenix”.

Now that Taylor has returned to The LatinX Theatre Project, they intend to uplift the community by using their voice to spread messages of compassion and self-love!

Debbie Rangel (she/her) a fresh face in her first year of acting! With a passion for storytelling, she’s eager to bring characters to life and embrace every moment of this exciting journey. Join her as she embarks on this  adventure!

She completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Arkansas in 2023 and is interested in combining her creative practice to inform her work as a social worker by utilizing expressive therapeutic interventions with clients. Her performance work intersects with her career through Selena Storytime, a bilingual and bicultural story time where Patricia engages audiences as the Tejano music icon, Selena. She believes through expression and play, children and caregivers can continue to nurture their curiosity, love for learning, and joy.

Patricia Wheatley (she/they) has always been a huge fan of musical theater, and aspires to one day preform in a show on Broadway. Her first theater acting role was NWACC’s 2019 production of Love Sick where she played a wife and mother of two who “loses herself”. She is also expresses her love for fashion through her social media platforms where she shows her viewers how to style new and vintage pieces.

Gabriela Arroyo (she/her) serves as the Managing Director for the Latinx Theatre Project at TheatreSquared, bringing a wealth of experience from her time as an ensemble member from 2019-2023.
